“Retirement is continued work” – Terry

Posted on March 11, 2013 at 2:02 pm

Terry lives in Reno, Nevada. He spent most of his career working for a couple of major companies and invested heavily in real estate.  Between 2008 and 2009 the real estate market in Reno dropped between 60-80%.  His one pension plan pays out barely enough to cover a monthly cell phone bill.  After the collapse of his investments, Terry applied his remaining funds to the creation of an internet-based kitchen supply business.  Although he is well past the age of retirement, he has no expectation of being able to relax, or even slow down, any time soon.  On the bright side, his business is growing and he has some valuable insights about saving for retirement.
